Thanksgiving 2009

As I sit here tonight thinking about the traditional Thanksgiving holiday, my thoughts remind me of what I personally am thankful for. Like most of you, we think about our families, our health, our success and prosperity and of course the relationships that have come about from membership in the Chapel Hill Leads Group.

When this group first started with about 5 -6 of us, the purpose was to form a venue that offered a unique business and referral model, unlike any other. One that was based first upon getting to know the individual so that we could feel comfortable in referring his/her business to our clients and customers. In a word, that relationship is based upon Trust. To my joy and delight, as I never imagined, the group has grown to what we see today, and one that has witnessed the birth of 11 other Leads Groups throughout the Triangle and Triad region.

I, personally am so thankful for having the opportunity to be a part of this ongoing experience of seeing just how far personal relationship building can go towards both personal success and benefits to our community.

I invite you to attend this Wednesday morning with a smile on your face, a song on your mind and thankfulness for the opportunity to share your life and your dreams with your fellow members of the Chapel Hill Leads Group.

Weekly Meeting:
Our regularly scheduled weekly meeting will be held Wednesday morning at Extraordinary Ventures, Inc., 200 South Elliott Road, Chapel Hill from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Meeting Dues are $5.00 per week.  Place your business card and $1.00 in the Optional Drawing. One card will be selected and that person will receive the week's kitty. For Express Check-In, please arrive with a $5.00, a $1.00, and a business card and we will check you in. We greatly appreciate your bringing correct change. We cannot change large denomination bills ($10, $20, $50, etc.) and cannot accept checks.

Continue to attend at least 50% of the Leads Group meetings until your presentation. Continue to attend the Leads Group meeting to strengthen your new referral network.

Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce Office Closed, Thursday and Friday, November 26-27, 2009
The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce will be closed all day Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving. The Chamber office will be open Monday, November 30, 2009.
Business Before Hours at 411 West, 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009
411 West and AT&T Advertising and Publishing will co-sponsor this event. Parking will be available in metered spots on Franklin Street and in Town of Chapel Hill Parking Lot 3, next to 411 West. Parking meters are enforced 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Saturday. Metered spaces are $0.25/15 minutes. Paid parking in Lot 3 is enforced 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and is $0.50/30 minutes. No registration required.
