Say Thank You!
If you ever served in the military, and especially abroad and away from your family, you know how those two words brought about an excitement and sense of anticipation to your soul. As business owners, we appreciate the efforts made by our military and want to say Thank You, for your service to our country. We love you and want to show our appreciation with a "gift from home" on this Valentines Day 2010.
Over the past several weeks I challenged our members to fill 10 boxes by January 31, 2010. You can help the Chapel Hill Leads Group by donating items listed. Together we can make a difference in the life of a Soldier, Marine, Sailor and Airman, who is risking his or her life for the cause of freedom and the American Dream. I thank David Stoner, owner of EnviroFix inc. for proposing this idea.

Weekly Meeting:
Our regularly scheduled weekly meeting will be held Wednesday morning at Extraordinary Ventures, Inc.,
200 South Elliott Road, Chapel Hill from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Meeting Dues are $5.00 per
week. Place your business card and $1.00 in the Optional Drawing. One card will be
selected and that person will receive the week's kitty. For Express Check-In, please arrive with a
$5.00, a $1.00, and a business card and we will check you in. We greatly appreciate your bringing correct
change. We cannot change large denomination bills ($10, $20, $50, etc.) and cannot accept checks.

Mike Komives is a career and job search advisor. During 2009 he helped hundreds of people develop their job search plan and its components; facilitated workshops for Durham Tech Community College; created a JOBS NETWORK ministry at his church; conducted a workshop for Cardinal Gibbons high school students: “What’s Next?”; provided job search assistance to walk-ins at the Chapel Hill / Orange County Job Links Center; and served individual clients.

Chapel Hill Leads Group Supports US Troops in Iraq
For the next two Wednesdays (1/20, and 1/27) the Chapel Hill Leads Group will be collecting donations of food and non-food items to send to our troops in Iraq. Items for our troops may be brought to Extraordinary Ventures, Inc., 200 South Elliott Drive, Chapel Hill. Cash donations will be used to defer shipping costs. The following is a suggested list of acceptable Food and Non-Food items.

The women's roundtable is a chance for Women Business owners with chamber membership and women managers of
businesses with chamber membership to come together to discuss opportunities and challenges in doing business
in the Triangle in an ever-changing economy. The meeting agenda includes introductions, success stories,
