John Gunn started in the mortgage business across the street in 1999 with Unisource Mortgage, work for them for 15 year until May of 2015. With the collapse of the housing market I decided to switch and work for mortgage banker, so I had control over all aspects of the application process, such as underwriting, processing, closing and servicing. In the 19 plus years I’ve closed over 1500 loan and have learned from each one. I’m also father to 4 girls and one son that is currently working with me as a Junior Loan Officer. I also became a grandfather this past May. My wife Beth and I came to NC in 1987, before I-40 went through the Triangle. We always thought we’d go back home to St Louis but after every passing year we discover that Chapel hill was our home.
