About the Chapel Hill Leads Group
What is the Chapel Hill Leads Group?
We are a local business networking group, founded in 1998 and affiliated with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce. We meet every Wednesday morning to support one another’s businesses and we welcome members from Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, Pittsboro, Hillsborough, Cary, Raleigh, and throughout the Triangle.
Who is invited to attend the meetings?
Everyone is invited. Please come as our guest your first time. Your first meeting is on us! Your second meeting and onward, weekly dues are $5.00.
The fee is used to pay for our meeting space, and to fund various activities and projects that benefit the entire group, such as producing promotional materials and participating in business expos and charitable activities.
Do you limit membership to one representative from each industry or profession, like other networking groups?
No, we don’t. We believe there’s plenty of opportunity to do business in this area, and that every business has unique strengths and specialties.
I'm I required to have a referral for another member each time I come to a meeting?
Not at all! No referrals are required. We believe businesses expand by mutual respect and not a forced referral system. By coming to the networking meeting you'll find folks that you will want to work with and will want to work with you - but this is an organic, natural process.
Are you limited to Chapel Hill businesses?
Not at all. We meet in Chapel Hill, but have members from Durham, Hillsborough, Raleigh, Cary and surrounding Triangle communities.
We are also open to people that don't have a business, that are community members that want to stay connected and meet some good people.
Who runs the meetings?
Meetings are currently facilitated by Lee Schearer of American Real Estate and Appraisal Company.
