This Week's Meeting:

We Moved ! - We meet at the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, 104 South Estes Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514

New Time ! - Doors open at 8:00 a.m. We meet from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with additional networking from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m.

Orlando P Metcalf III - TAI Groupe, LLC

Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights, Oh My!

Your fantastic idea for that breakout product or under recognized service market is stolen from you because of a simple omission. Should I copyright my trademark? Is my business name a trademark, or domain name? Why did I have to surrender my domain name!?

When starting a business, often overlooked are the various mechanisms and agencies necessary to secure and maintain your business identity. Why do I have to register my company in every state in which I do business?

After this presentation, you will be able to answer the question; " Can I patent the trademark on my copyright?"

See you there.

More importantly, Bring plenty of Business Cards and be ready to network!

If you missed last Wednesday's meeting ...

Lee Schearer - American Real Estate and Appraisal Company

Who is Lee Schearer and what can he tell us about "Real Estate" in the region?

After having a career in the real estate /appraisal industry (47 years and going strong) I have learned a great deal, thanks in great part to continuing education requirements and dedicating myself to providing my best service to my clients and hopefully your referrals. I invite you to join me Wednesday November 7, 2017 where I can discuss the changes to these industries.

I will also discuss why it is important to have an advocate who will act in your best interests when either selling your home or purchasing one. The ever-changing real estate markets within the Triangle Region require you to work with an experienced Agent so that you don't make a serious misstep in protecting one of the most valuable assets you will have in your lifetime, your home.

I will also speak about my background both as an "Army" Brat" and my military service, serving within the United States, Germany and Vietnam, and how these events have influenced my attitudes, motivation and ambition to serve my fellow Veterans and my fellow entrepreneurs within the Chapel Hill Leads Group. I leave you with this quotation from "The Treasury of Quotes by Jim Rohn "One person caring about another represents life's greatest value"

See you there.

More importantly, Bring plenty of Business Cards and be ready to network!

Did You Know:

From: Lee Schearer,
To: My Fellow Chapel Hill Leads Group Members

I recently came upon a Tibetan prayer, that I wish to share with you, and one that illustrates the value of appreciation:

"Grant that I may be given appropriate difficulties and sufferings on this journey, so that my heart may be truly awakened and my practice of liberation and universal compassion may be truly fulfilled"

I invite you to join me at the Chapel Hill Leads Group, this Wednesday morning and to witness how appreciative our members are for the opportunity to meet face to face with other business owners who are those with whom we like, we know and we trust. Our methods have proven to be successful as the Chapel Hill Leads Group celebrates our 20th continuous year of helping our members become successful.

Remember to bring a big smile on your face, a skip in your step, a song in your heart and an attitude of appreciation for the life you live, and the opportunities for success in this great country, America, the beautiful.

Attention CHLG Members - The Chapel Hill Leads Group's goal is to raise 100+ boxes of cereal a month. If everyone brought one box of cereal to two meetings this month, the Chapel Hill Leads Group would easily exceed the 100 boxes of cereal goal.
